The Linville Tarpon leaders are built to a proven formula designed to catch large tarpon quickly and safelywithout compromise.

Designed for anglers who want to fish within an IGFA-style framework, they provide a consistent, reliable system that supports both performance and progression on the water. Whether youre chasing your first tarpon or refining your approach, these leaders remove the guesswork and give you a repeatable foundation to build from.

The design starts with a nylon butt section that keeps the leader riding high and turning over cleanly. From there, it steps down in stiffness to a precisely measured class section, before connecting to the shock with improved blood knotstied to preserve strength while staying compact and out of the way.

The knots are impressively tiedhow Umpqua achieves that level of consistency is something that stood out to me right away. Its a level of detail that matters when youre connected to a fish. Nathaniel Linville

These leaders are the result of years spent refining the smallest detailsbecause in tarpon fishing, the smallest details are often the difference.

A leader isnt the exciting part of fly fishingbut its the part that connects you to the fish. How its built determines how strong that connection is.
