The Lucana Kokari 135 is a 139mm, 49g popper a serious surface lure for bigger fish. The weight lets you cast it a long way into wind, and the cupped face throws a heavy splash that carries in rough water. This is the size to use when you are fishing open coast, rock ledges or reef edges for trevally and queenfish rather than working an estuary. One piece per packet, eight finishes.

Why it works

• 49g casts long and holds its line in wind and swell
• Cupped face throws a heavy, carrying splash
• 139mm profile stands out to fish looking up from depth
• Eight finishes from natural pilchard to fluorescent pink
