Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Tube Wide

The Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Tube Wide combines the proven action of a hollow-body tube bait with Berkley’s powerful MaxScent technology. Designed for bass fishing in lakes, rivers and reservoirs, this soft plastic tube features a classic cylindrical body, flexible tentacles and a natural gliding action that imitates crawfish, gobies and other bottom-oriented forage.

Whether you’re dragging a tube across rocky structure, hopping it along the bottom or flipping it around cover, the Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Tube offers a versatile presentation for both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

Berkley MaxScent Technology

The MaxScent material is designed to release a powerful scent field into the water. Its soft texture and natural appearance help create a convincing presentation, making it a useful choice when bass are pressured or feeding close to the bottom.

Classic Hollow-Body Tube Design

The hollow body allows anglers to rig the bait with an internal tube jighead, creating a compact presentation with the hook positioned through the tube.

The cylindrical profile and flexible tentacles produce subtle movement as the bait falls, hops or drags across the bottom.

Natural Gliding & Falling Action

When rigged with an appropriately sized tube jighead, the MaxScent Tube can spiral or glide on the fall, depending on rigging and weight placement.

This movement helps imitate a crawfish or goby moving along the bottom, making it an excellent choice for fishing rock piles, gravel flats, points, ledges and other bass-holding structure.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Tube baits are especially effective for targeting smallmouth bass around rocky bottoms and offshore structure.

Fish the MaxScent Tube with short hops, slow drags or controlled lifts to keep the bait near the bottom. Its flexible tentacles provide movement between rod-tip actions.

Texas Rig & Cover Fishing

The Berkley MaxScent Tube can also be Texas rigged with a compatible hook and weight to help reduce snags when fishing around grass, wood and shallow cover.

This makes it a versatile option for anglers targeting largemouth bass in areas where an exposed-hook tube jig may snag.
